Duration: 1 years
Value: 2M€
Location: Turkmenistan
Final client: TurkmenGas State Corporation

Context: The Gas to Gasoline (GTG) Plant is in Ahal, a region in fifty kilometers distance to the Turkmen capital Ashgabat. The construction of the Natural Gas to Gasoline Production Plant in Ahal-Ovadandepe, implemented by TurkmenGas State Corporation, was executed by a Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Rönesans.

Designed using Topsoe technology from Denmark, the facility processes 1.785 billion cubic meters of natural
gas annually, producing 600,000 tons of ЕСО-92 gasoline. This large-scale industrial plant has been recognized
in the Guinness World Records as « The World’s First Natural Gas to Gasoline Production Plant » and its
innovative nature has been verified by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in the United Kingdom.
The plant was commissioned in June 2019.

Content : 100 centrifugal pumps of different sizes and shapes to process the water (hot, cold, clean, sewed) all
around the plant.

Project Team Composition : Engineering (5 people), quality, logistician.

Highlights : KHI expressed the desire to send an expediting team throughout the entire year of 2016 to ensure the manufacturing and delivery of the pumps, due to the criticality of this project and its national importance in Turkmenistan. As Project Manager, I therefore also had to manage the agendas of the expeditors to reassure the EPC. The success of the project secured the positioning of the companies involved for the development of a second GTG refinery.

Claims Management : Review of Incoterms standards as well as SEILA and international packaging regulations to determine responsibilities regarding packaging issues.
